Recently, I had someone attempt to leave a
comment in my guestbook. Their comment was puzzling. They said that what happened to me was an accident,
plain & simple and that the drunk, Danny Price, could sue me for slander since he was never brought to justice.
My reply to them:
Which part about April 16, 2002 was an accident?
The part where Danny Price 'accidentally'
gets into his girlfriend's truck knowing that his license is suspended and she has no insurance.
Or the part where Danny Price 'accidentally' goes
on a drinking binge well into the early morning hours.
Or the part where Danny Price 'accidentally'
gets behind the wheel and drives drunk.
Or the part where Danny Price 'accidentally'
slams into me at 70 m.p.h.
Or the part where Danny Price 'accidentally'
flees from police on foot not knowing whether he has killed someone.
Or how about the part where Danny Price 'accidentally'
reports his truck stolen several hours after the crash.
So tell me, just out of curiosity, which part of
this drunk driving crash was a true accident, plain & simple? If it truly was an 'accident,' why did he flee?
Danny Price may have never been brought to justice
but his name is on the traffic crash report and I did have the DMV to add additional months onto his suspended license.
If the man was innocent, why did my insurance sue him? Why is his name on the report when the truck he was driving belonged
to his girlfriend? Why did the DMV add additional suspension time on his license? Danny Price sue me for
slander? I think NOT! Making stupid comments like that leads me to believe that either you have never been a victim
of a crime or you are a drunk driver yourself. Until you go through the agonizing physical pain that I, along with countless
others survivors, live in each day since our crashes, don't ever refer to MY crash as an accident because nothing about
that day was an accident. Plain & Simple!
